FibriCheck is a Belgium-based heart monitoring application created in 2014. It has 1 million active users all over the world. The application specializes in checking a person’s heart rhythm by placing a finger over a smartphone’s camera for a minute.

Testing techniques such as the electrocardiogram (ECG) and the photoplethysmogram (PPG) are incorporated within the application under medical experts’ advice to measure one’s heart rhythm at their convenience in a budget-friendly manner. Thus, helps to timely detect any cardiac arrhythmia preventing serious complications. FibriCheck offers two subscription plans: Essential and Premium costing €6.99 and €24.99, respectively. It is available for download on both Apple and Android platforms.

FibriCheck is approved by ORCA, the world’s leading health application evaluation, and advisory organization. The app also has FDA and TGA approvals and is a fully-fledged Class IIa medical device under the Medical Devices Directive (93/42/EEC). The application has raised total funding of $12.8 million since its conception.
