The Human Side of My AI Journey

1 Mins read

A few days ago, I had a moment that caught me off guard.

I was speaking to a group of young engineers, and someone asked: “Rahul… when did AI stop being a career for you and start becoming something you feel?”

It took me a second to answer.

Because the moment wasn’t loud or dramatic.
It was small. Quiet. Ordinary.

I remembered sitting with a founder who was completely overwhelmed.
He wasn’t worried about models or data.
He was worried about his people.
His team. His responsibility. His future.

We spent an hour not talking about AI at all, but about fear, uncertainty, leadership, and how heavy growth can feel when the world is moving faster than you are.

When we finished, he looked lighter. Clearer.
And he said, “I wish someone had explained AI to me like this a year ago.”

That moment stayed with me.

Because it reminded me that behind every AI project, behind every roadmap and behind every big decision, there’s a human being trying to do the right thing.

And that’s the part of this work that moves me the most.

The breakthroughs are exciting. The technology is incredible.
But the real privilege is helping people navigate change without losing themselves in it.

If you’re building something right now, or leading through uncertainty, just know this: you’re not alone.

What’s one moment in your journey that reminded you why you do what you do?
