SkinVision is a Netherlands-based dermatology application focused on detecting skin cancer. Created in 2011, the app is now offered worldwide on Apple and Android platforms and has amassed an active user base of over 1.8 million people. It’s free to download, however, a yearly subscription of $77.99 is available as well. The app has secured a total funding of $16.5 to date.
SkinVision acts as a medical service to self-examine and checks for signs of skin cancer anytime, anywhere. By leveraging AI technology and the expertise of dermatologists, the app provides secure analysis of your skin health with accuracy.
By uploading photos of your skin spots or moles you can get a risk indication within 60 seconds. The app will then recommend the next steps according to the assessment. These photos can also be stored so one can share them with their doctor and track changes over time. Users can either buy single assessments or buy unlimited skin checks for 3 or 12 months. SkinVision also hosts a variety of information and advice about your skin type and its health.
