1 Mins read

HotDoc is a Melbourne-based telemedicine application founded in 2012. The app is used all over Australia and has 6 million active users. HotDoc allows you to book appointments with your local doctor anywhere, at any time. The application has successfully improved the health care experience for its users by providing services for online doctor booking and recalls, reminders, check-ins, place in the queue, online processing of repeat prescription requests, and Covid vaccine appointments. Despite having all specialties of doctors available, HotDoc is a free service; only clinic cost is incurred while booking an appointment.

The application works towards better patient engagement and improved health outcomes; the 2.1 million appointments booked on the app every month are a testimony to that. Moreover, by automating scheduling and canceling practices, HotDoc saves time and money for the 25,000 Practitioners associated with it. The app is available on Apple and Android devices and the total funding for HotDoc currently amounts to $7.2M.
