IoT-connected Medical Devices- Wearable Biosensors

1 Mins read

Wearable biosensors have become valuable pieces of technology that enable disease detection, disease prevention, and other types of care. These are small and lightweight devices that are worn on the body and monitor the vital signs of a patient.

This is a helpful invention in the context of patients with long-term conditions since data gathering is no longer limited to the duration that patients spend in a hospital or clinic, giving physicians access to an expanded dataset. These smart biosensors are becoming a vital part of IoT technology because they are small and portable instruments for detecting proteins, analytes, and infections. Flexible, stretchable, and non-invasive sensors provide a layer of patient comfort and skin safety by analyzing body fluids like tears, saliva, and sweat without being uncomfortable. The present hindrance to the broad use of biosensors is their high costs, which need to be optimized to make them suitable for commercial use.
